Shank Adapter
The first component of the Top Hammer drilling string is the shank, which is actually the interface between the drilling hammer and the rods and drill bit.
Shanks are available in 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 spline types with various thread sizes such as T38, R38, R32, T45, and T51, depending on the model of the drill rig and hammer.
